Frequently asked questions

  • Before your first session, you will need to fill out a short health questionnaire, which can be completed online or in person. To prepare for your appointment:

    • Wear comfortable clothing.
    • Arrive without makeup if possible.
    • I will ask you to undress the upper body to allow access to the neck, shoulders, and upper chest. You will be covered with a massage sheet the entire time.
    • I recommend scheduling your first Facemodeling session on a day when you won’t have any professional meetings afterward and, ideally, can relax for the rest of the day.
    • Limit caffeine intake on the day of your session and stay well-hydrated.
  • Facemodeling is not recommended if you have any of the following conditions:

    • Fever, flu
    • Skin inflammation
    • Cold sores
    • Cystic acne
    • Severe acne rosacea
    • Dermatological diseases
    • Inflammation in the oral area
    • Fungal infections
    • High-risk pregnancy
    • Swollen lymph nodes
    • Neoplastic diseases
    • Cancer treatment
    • Aneurysms
    • Severe hypertension, heart disease, or heart defects
    • Advanced atherosclerosis, thrombosis
    • Epilepsy

Please note: It is the client’s responsibility to inform the therapist of any health changes or ongoing medical treatments.

  • If you have recently undergone medical aesthetic procedures, the following waiting periods apply before you can receive a Facemodeling treatment:

    • Botox: 2 weeks
    • Fillers: 6 weeks after your follow-up appointment with your medical provider
    • PDO lifting threads: 2 years
    • Barbed lifting threads: Contraindicated

💡 Facemodeling is an excellent way to prepare the tissue for facial and breast plastic surgery procedures, and it also supports post-operative recovery.

  • For optimal results, I recommend starting with a series of three to five sessions, spaced every two to three weeks apart. After that, maintenance sessions can be scheduled once a month or based on your individual needs and goals.

Facemodeling is also a great way to prepare you for your own self-massage routine at home, helping you maintain the benefits between sessions.

  • Facemodeling is a deep and effective technique, and everyone’s sensitivity is different. Since most people don’t regularly receive facial massages, it’s common to feel some intensity- especially in areas that have been holding tension for a long time.

However, it gets easier with each session as the muscles release and relax. Most clients describe the experience as deeply relieving - even if certain points feel intense, it’s often a satisfying sensation of tension melting away.

I will be checking in with you throughout the session, and we will adjust the pressure to your comfort level.

  • Many clients notice visible improvements after just one session, such as lifted facial contours, reduced puffiness, and a more relaxed expression. However, long-term results come with consistency.

Facemodeling is a journey, not a one-time fix - because one-time fixes don’t really exist. The results build over time, and you can be sure that this is a long-term investment in both your beauty and health.

  • At the end of a Facemodeling session, I may apply kinesiology tapes to the upper chest, neck, or facial area to enhance the treatment benefits. How long should I leave the tapes on?

    • Facial area: 3 to 8 hours (or overnight, if recommended).
    • Other areas (below the neck): Up to 2 days.
How to remove kinesiology tapes safely
    1. Apply oil (jojoba, grapeseed, avocado, coconut, or olive oil) to the taped area and let sit for 2-3 min.
    2. Slowly peel the tape in a rolling motion, holding down the skin with your other hand to prevent irritation. Avoid pulling it off abruptly.
    3. If needed, cleanse the area with oil and soap, then rinse off any residue.
    • Studio appointments: 2 hours + an additional 10 minutes for first-time clients
    • House call appointments: 2 hours + 15 minutes for setup
  • I currently accept cash, zelle, venmo.
